Trauma therapy in Pasadena, California

What to Expect

How it Works

Starting therapy, especially during a tender or overwhelming season of life, can feel like a big step. I’m here to help you simplify the process as you begin your journey.

1

Step One

We’ll begin with a 15-minute phone or video consultation. This is a chance for us to connect, talk briefly about what’s bringing you in, and explore whether working together feels like the right fit. There’s no pressure—just space for clarity and honest conversation.

2

Step Two

In our first full session, we’ll go at your pace. We’ll explore what you’re experiencing now, what you hope to gain from therapy, and start building a relationship rooted in trust. I may ask some gentle background questions to help me understand your story more fully, but we’ll stay grounded in what feels supportive to you in the moment

3

Step Three

Therapy is a process that unfolds over time. We’ll work together to find a rhythm that supports your needs—whether that means weekly sessions, biweekly, or a flexible schedule. I integrate EMDR, parts work, and depth-oriented approaches tailored to maternal health, trauma, and relational healing. We’ll move at a pace that feels safe and manageable, supporting you in reconnecting with yourself, your body, and your inner resilience.

Insurance

I am an out-of-network therapist and do not bill insurance directly. However, I provide monthly superbills for clients to submit to their insurance provider for possible reimbursement.

If you live in California and want to use your out-of-network benefits, here are questions to ask your insurance provider:

  • Do I have out-of-network coverage for mental health therapy?

  • Is EMDR therapy covered?

  • What percentage is reimbursed per session?

  • Is there a deductible?

  • How do I submit claims?

Frequently Asked Questions

  • I offer in person therapy to clients in Pasadena, CA and Los Angeles area and online therapy to client throughout California

  • There’s no one-size-fits-all answer to how long therapy takes—because healing is not linear, and each person’s journey is unique. Some clients come for a few months to focus on a specific issue, like postpartum anxiety or fertility stress. Others choose to stay longer to work through deeper layers of trauma, grief, or long-standing patterns rooted in early experiences. Together, we’ll regularly check in about your goals, your progress, and what feels most supportive for you. You’re never “locked in” to a certain number of sessions. we’ll move at your pace.

  • I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots for clients experiencing financial hardship. Please inquire during your consultation for current availability.

  • I have a 48 hour cancelleation policy. I know life is busy and schedules often change so I work to be as flexible as possible with accommodating schedule changes for my clients to reschedule an appointment.
